The Bacholerette Choses her man and gets engaged

After an entire season of The Bachelorette, Ashley Hebert finally made her choice and got engaged to the man she chose. The last episode counts with the two final options that remained from the original 25 available bachelors. Even though both of them got down on their knees to propose, Herbert already had her heart set on who she now believes can be her husband for the rest of their lives.

Unavoidable Rejection

The first proposal came from the winemaker from Sonoma, California, Ben Flajnik, who is now 28 years old. Even though it was obvious during the entire show that Herbert did have a connection with Flajnik, she decided to deny the request. After being rejected, Flajnik said “Every second I spend with you makes me fall deeper in love with you. I want to thank you for allowing me to feel completely and utterly vulnerable and open with you.”

On the other hand, the option left to be the big one was the construction manager J.P. Rosenbaum, who is 34 years old. Once the other candidate was already left broken-hearted, Herbert waited patiently until Rosenbaum’s seaplane arrived to their encounter. Just as the same way it was easy to see that she had feelings for Flajnik, the bachelorette also made it obvious during scenes that her favorite was Rosenbaum.

The One

When the couple was at last together, Rosenbaum said “All the time we’ve spent together, it’s been the happiest time of my life. And you always say to me you’re smiling all the time, you’re going to have wrinkles when you’re older. Well, I smile because of you. You bring that out. What I do know for absolute certain is that I am madly in love with you. I love everything about you.”

In response, Herbert answered with equally passionate words, as she guarantees to her fiancée that there is no one else in the world that she would rather be with. As it could not be any different, Rosenbaum got down on his knee and opened the little black box which contained Herbert’s diamond engagement ring. “Ashley, will you marry me?” he said. The answer was yes.
