SyFy’s Being Human
On the beginning of the year is when the companies decide which TV shows are going to be renewed to the next season. At the same time, fans of each series wait patiently while they still don’t know if their favorites will go on and when new episodes will be produced. Now, some of these productions have been announced to keep running.
SyFy’s ‘Being Human’
The SyFy channel confirmed ‘Being Human’ to be renewed for its second season. The series is the channels most successful show and was inspired by the British version of the same name. The actors confirmed for season 2 are: Sam Winter (Smallville), Meaghan Rath (18 to Life), Sam Huntington (Cavemen) and Mark Pellegrino (Lost).
The SyFy President of Original Content, Mark Stern, said in a statement “The series has proven to be a winner for Syfy on all fronts. … Showrunners/writers Jeremy Carver and Anna Fricke — along with a superlative team of writers, cast, and production — have created an amazing, compelling series in its own right. We can’t wait to watch Aidan, Josh and Sally continue their struggle to be human in the second season!”
NBC’s most acclaimed comedies
Amongst ‘Being Human’, NBC confirmed three comedies to continue being produced. ‘’The Office’, ‘Community’ and ‘Parks and Recreation’ are all set for new episodes. The Chairman of NBC Entertainment, Bob Greenblatt, said “I am so pleased to renew these three outstanding comedies which are all at the top of their game creatively.”
All of the three comedies have been widely acclaimed by television’s criticism. On the case of ‘The Office’, the show has been nominated for the Outstanding Comedy Series Award, on the Emmy, each season. The production won in 2006. On a review, ‘’Parks and Recreation’ was announced as “the smartest TV comedy”.
