Richard Branson Launches Expedition
When people manage to become a billionaire certain whims are much easier to be accomplished. If the person wants to make a worldwide journey, the cash is there to make it happen. Besides personal needs, billionaires also have enough resource to invest in their own businesses in order to produce even more.
Exploring where has never been before
The 245th most rich man in world, according to the Forbes magazine is Richard Branson, who just launched his latest initiative to discover more information about what exists deep under the sea. Branson’s Virgin Oceanic, which inherited the first name of the billionaire’s company Virgin.
Up to now, the schedule that has been planned for the Virgin Oceanic counts with five journeys under the sea and to places where have not yet been explored by humans. As the dives are supposed to aim low areas, the expedition is still dangerous. Even journeys that do not go so far still have several precaution measures to avoid possible accidents.
Branson’s previous accomplishments
Besides the oceanic expeditions, Branson’s company focuses in developing his businesses while thinking about environmental issues. In the year of 2007, Branson offered a U$25 million prize to whoever managed to create the best solution to reduce excess carbon from the atmosphere. The competition is still under evaluation, as 20 finalists were selected and their ideas are being studied.
His company had already created the Carbon War Room, which is not profitable for the enterprise and was built on the purpose of calling attention to the problem. On the subject, Branson said “We want to see if we can get a gigaton out of each industry, not principally to attack those industries but to work with them in as positive way as possible so it actually went to the bottom line as much as possible.”
