Record Store Day Has Its Fourth Edition
One of the most popular ways of expressing yourself through art is by the production of music, and all of the arrangements that have to be done with the instrumental part. Even inside the musical category, as other cultural manifestations are also important for society, several styles are produced by the artists.
Musical Scene Gains Special Day
A day to celebrate and gather records promotions, new releases, and all sorts of products related to music is the Record Store Day. The event happens by the compromise between artists and retailers, as the physical space where music fans have to get together is at the record stores.
Among the advantages of taking part on the Record Store Day is that the event offers releases, promotions and in-store performances by artists that support the day. Also, these performances are planned to happen all at the same time on a worldwide basis. This year is the fourth edition of Record Store Day and will happen on Saturday, April 16.
Bands Already Prepared New Material
What is already known as a special attraction for the Record Store Day is that Radiohead announced to release a double single on a seven-inch vinyl, which will have only 2,000 copies. The new release actually has the exclusive tracks Supercollider and The Butcher, which guarantees the preference for Record Store Day consumers.
Another band that prepared a special edition for Record Store Day is the Flaming Lips. Warner Bros made a selection of the band’s first five productions together with the label and will transform the CDs into vinyl. Other artists that planned to make part of the Record Store Day are The Beastie Boys, Gorillaz, Adele, Tinie Tempah, The Rolling Stones, and others. The number of stores that participated in the event was of 1,600 last year, and expectations for the fourth edition go higher.
