Expectations After Successful Initiative
A game which was released in 2007 is Portal, developed by Valve Corporation, which conquered several positive criticisms about the game play. After the success of its first edition, Valve Corporation had announced they were going to launch Portal 2 on March 2010; but that was postponed to April 18th 2011.
Once the release date arrives, the game will be available for the formats of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, at the same time. It will be possible to purchase the game through retail or Steam, Valve’s branch to distribute games.
Keeping Up With First Edition
When Portal was released, several reviews ware made to evaluate the game’s performance. An example is The Guardian’s opinion, which stated “An astounding accomplishment; part abstract brainteaser, part sci-fi thriller, part black comedy. Imagine being stuck inside a 3D puzzle with a playfully cruel sense of humor.”
One of the differences between the first edition and Portal 2 is that on the new game there is a new set of characters that will share scenes and situations with the player, as it’s a first-person action. The aim is to get through the dangerous encounters of the game using logical strategies instead of weaponry.
