Which new bands will come out and who will make the world discover even better music than what is already known. The time has come and that person’s name is Pia Toscano. After an amazing performance on American Idol, Toscano has already received many compliments and a standing ovation.

The music chosen by the singer was “I’ll stand by you”, by The Pretenders. This same song had already been sung on the show twice before. The first time was by Gina Glocksen, a contestant of American Idol during the sixth season. On that same year, Carrie Underwood sang the music during a special edition named “Idol Gives Back”.

Pia Toscano is 21 years old and came from New York. She auditioned for American Idol in the New Jersey try-outs. Her name was already one of the favorites to continue on the show, but now she is confirmed on the list of the 13 finalists. The audience, the judges and her competitors, all stood up together for the applause.

The judges now were Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. Among the three of them, Randy is the only one who remains since the first season. The senior told her that her performance was definitely between the best he had seen since American Idol’s existence. That was unbelievable,” the said, “That’s how you do it!”.

The other two judges agreed with Randy’s statement and followed up. Jennifer Lopez joked with Pia by saying that she was keeping her best for when she needed it. “You were saving that for when it counts”, she said. At last, Tyler said she was unbelievable and gorgeous, besides making his usual excentric comments.
