Metro North Train Schedule

New Haven line is not working as usual on Tuesday, 2nd, Metro-North Railroad officials says. They also said that it is impossible to foresee when they are going to start operating the machines in a normal schedule.

Because of the bad weather, more than half of their fleet are in the garage for being repaired. Metro-North officials said they are trying to solve it, by reducing the trips, it means that the trains will make more trips than what they do during the weekends, but still less than a normal weekday.

As it has been happening in all big cities around the world, in New York they also have the overcrowding problem. Add this to a bad weather and you figure it out how damaged are Metro-North trains.

But these trails attend more than 65,000 riders, who comes everyday to Grand Central Terminal at rush hour trying to get back home, but sometimes they don’t succeed.

The schedule is so disorganized, but Metro-North official spokesman says the situation is critical for a ‘simple’ reason: they’ve never been with this quantity of trains out of service. Most of the trains were built more than 30 years ago, and most of its problems are related to the bad weather of the winter which causes frozen brakes, broken motors and doors.
