Maria Shriver officially separates from Schwarzenegger

Once a political candidate actually gets to be elected by voters, his new life is not just about the political affairs and his professional life. A series of criteria has to be taken in consideration when a candidacy is launched for a certain position. One of the most popular Governors was Arnold Schwarzenegger in California, as he only got elected after his filming career and was already famous as an actor.

Family’s Political History

After 25 years of marriage with Maria Shriver, the couple announced on Monday 09 at night that they are getting a divorce. Maria has been involved in American politics since she was born, as her family was always present in the political scene. Maria’s uncle, for example, is former US president John F. Kennedy. Before getting married, Maria was following a successful journalism career.

The main complaints regarding their personal relationship as the word spread saying the divorce is official, say that Maria was tired of Schwarzenegger’s craziness. Although the announcement was made this week, sources say that Maria left the couple’s mansion a few months ago.

Unpredictable Faith

During an interview in 2006, when her husband began his political career, Maria said “When I married Arnold, politics wasn’t really where I thought we were going! Nancy Reagan gave me very good advice. She said, ‘Do whatever you want, because you’re going to get criticized anyway.’”

Besides the problems the couple had in the last years, when Schwarzenegger left the California government office things got even worse. As her husband decided to get back to his acting career, Maria felt that he was even more unstable than before. As the situation was obviously going to a down path, they both came to the conclusion that the best would be to live their lives separately.
