Lindsay Lohan has probation revoked
Lindsay Lohan, best known for her roles in Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, was revoked from probation this Wednesday (19) and might be facing an actual reality of spending 18 months in jail. Once L.A. County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner claimed enough evidence that proves she is not keeping up with the conditions of probation, Lohan posted $100,000 for bail. Another court session was set for November 2, when she might be sent to prison or not.
Reckless Situation
The final drop that determined the end of her probation was being cut off from Downtown Women’s Center, where she was intended to complete 360 community hours. The group decided to cut her off after the 25-year-old actress missed several appointments, which could be seen by Sautner in Lohan’s records of hours completed. Besides the Women’s Center, Lohan was also convicted to spending 120 community hours at the morgue.
Once Lohan was informed that she no longer was part of the Women’s Center, she tried to transfer her community service to the American Red Cross. Even though she actually did spend some time with the group, Sautner said that those hours cannot be registered as no one else but the legal system authorities have the means to change her community service hour’s determination.
Attempt Of Defense
As far as Lohan’s defense could go, attorney Shawn Chapman Holley argued that Lohan could not attend the Women’s Center meetings because of work opportunities abroad. To provide for herself and her family, Lohan could not miss the opportunities to be out of the country and work. Even so, the judge is also taking into consideration the low quantity of total hours that have already been accomplished by her.
As a response to all the attention, Lohan posted on her Twitter account that “I just want it to be known, that just because I was not followed & photographed during the times I’ve gone to community service, does NOT mean that I wasn’t following my obligations (by going) to the court.”
