Kelly Clarkson Performs On Ellen DeGeneres

It is common for reality shows to transform the participants into new celebrities. Some, like Big Brother, have no reason to do so, as the contestants only co-inhabit the same house and have to go through several tests in order to win the game. On the other hand, programs such as American Idol give priority to people with real talents, which, in this case, means singing.

Success after reality show

The first person to become an American Idol was Kelly Clarkson. The singer only managed to sign her first record deal after winning the program in 2002. Since then, Clarkson has produced four albums and the fifth is on the way. Besides the CDs produced, eleven of her singles made it to the Billboard Hot 100.

As the boom of her career was during the first years after American Idol, Clarkson was a little bit out of the spotlights. A recent performance that made the singer regain her popularity and the attention she needs on the year that her next album is going to released was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The edition on which she performed was filmed at Universal Studios, in Orlando.

Before leaving to perform at Universal Studios, Clarkson posted on her Facebook profile “Performing on Ellen today with the band. It’s not airing today. We’re just taping it here in Orlando! I’m so excited to perform :) I miss touring ….like a lot.” Once back home, Clarkson posted again “We spent all day yesterday at Universal Studios in Orlando and had the time of our lives! Loved the rides, LOVED all the Harry Potter stuff (especially butterbeer:), loved being on the Ellen show, and our guides were fantastic! Seriously, can’t wait to go back!”

Her new album is supposed to be launched in September and is being produced by Rodney Jerkins. At first, the date was set for July, but the producer decided to wait until the end of the year because of a new CEO that has been included by the record label. So as new people are on board, Jerkins believes that the smartest thing is to understand what everyone expects of the album.
