IPad 2 release date
After the success with Apple’s first iPad, which sold almost 15 million devices since its launch, the expectation for the second version of the tablet has become tech-fanatics most important topics of conversation. Mainly because of the speculation about when the product would be announced: This was once supposed to be in April 2011, but now people believe that the company will present it today at an Apple conference.
IPad 2 release date
The assumption that today will be the one for iPad 2 came because of the invitation Apple sent out with an almost obvious relation to the device by printing an image which resembles a slightly modified iPad. Even though it’s practically certain that this announcement will be made, the expectation also revolves around what other news the company might have to share with the world. As if that isn’t enough, people question whether Apple’s big boss Steve Jobs will make an appearance at the event.
Mr Jobs has been absent from the company since he sent a message to his team: “At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company,” he said via e-mail. These health issues, which are common knowledge, include pancreatic cancer in 2004 and a liver transplant in 2009.
Ipad 2 Functions
The first iPad includes the functions of bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS (only in some models), 10 hour battery, touch screen, amongst its technical specifications. The second tablet has been speculated to be thinner, lighter and have a front facing camera. Even though, at the moment, the company is known to lead the market, research shows that the iPad’s sales will lower to less than 50% by 2013.
Now the people who were invited to this exclusive media event organized by Apple have to wait a few more hours to find out earlier than anyone else what Apple has to surprise even more its customers and fans. On the bright side, from now on, the price of the iPad 1 is expected to drop by the day and turn into a buyable product for any kind of client. Its just a matter of waiting and seeing if the rumors will live up to the expectations.
