Herman Cain successfully participates in GOP Debate
The American parties interested in running for the presidency in 2012 have already started the process of choosing the name that will be the nomination for its presidential candidate. One of the main parties of the Unites States, the Republican, has organized and aired on May 5 its first debate to define the official candidate. On that night, the Republican who stood out the most was Herman Cain.
Republican’s Possible Candidates
As it was the first presidential debate, the majority of the most popular names did not attend the event. Besides Cain, Tim Pawlenty, Ron Paul, Gary Johnson and Rick Santorum also took part in the debate. Among those, the only one who already has a considerably high possibility of actually being nominated is Pawlently.
Those who are the most expected to be seen at these debates are Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich and Donald Trump. If all of them had been present, the already 10 speculated pre-candidates would have the opportunity to present themselves to the American citizens. However, not all of them have officially announced the intention to run for presidency in 2012.
New GOP Option
Cain’s candidacy has been criticized for his short political experience to be the only background of a president. At the debate this could be noted when his time for answering a question was over and he actually respected the alarm which signaled time’s up. Usually, candidates just ignore the noise and complete their logic.
When Chris Wallace, one of the debate moderators, asked him about the fact that he has short political experience, Cain answered by saying that most politicians give more trouble than good actions in Washington and completed with his hit line, which is being used more frequently each day: how’s that working for you?
