Harrison Ford might be Indiana Jones one last time
One of the most famous movies of all times, Indiana Jones, completed 30 years of its release on June 12, yesterday. The actor who gave life to the character that entitles the film is Harrison Ford, about to complete 70 years. The first film of the series was produced in 1981 and has a total of four episodes to tell the story.
Memories From The Beginning
As both the plot and the character conquered the public, a rumor spread says that the fifth number would be on its way to be released. Even though Ford is not getting any younger, he would still be the leading role. Today it might be impossible to imagine Indy being played by someone else, but Ford was not the first option for the spot.
About 30 years ago, when the producers were still casting the actors, it was only three weeks before the filming started that Ford was confirmed to be Indy. Besides him, the first names that came to the producers’ minds were of Tom Selleck, Steve Martin, Jack Nicholson, and even others.
Movie On The Way
While the fifth Indiana Jones is not yet confirmed, Ford, together with Daniel Craig, is already shooting Cowboys & Aliens. As the name suggests, the story blends science-fiction with western, as it literally works with cowboys and aliens. The city chosen to host the adventure is Arizona, which needs to be saved from an imminent threat.
Along Ford and Craig, the female participation will be from Olivia Wilde. After the seasons of the House series, Wilde began to take part in several productions. The movie is set to be released in July and a couple of trailers have already been made available to get a notion about what awaits the public.
