Espn college basketball
With the college basketball season going on some of the favourite teams to start on a good run seem to let the public down on the expectations. One of the cases is the team Fairfield, which used to be top seed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and recently lost a match at home to the fourth-seeded Saint Peter.
Favourite’s cold feet
On the same sort of stream, Vermont lost to Stony Brook. The first one was a top seed in the America East and had already beat the other team on a match one month before. A different case, but similar team issues, is with the Harvard institution. The university’s legacy with its powerfull education doesn’t walk along the basketball team.
But, now the rumors say that Harvard’s basketball is about to change. Its been 65 years since this team hasn’t played on a NCAA tournament and next Saturday they might make their way to the brackets. The match is against Princeton and a one-game playoff for the championship.
News to the Fans
Another new idea to the NCAA season is that fans can also watch the games on live streaming. ESPN has a channel, ESPN3, where the conference tournaments will be available online. The streaming can be used on computers, iPods, iPads and iPhones.
Also, for the fans who keep up with scores and best players, the 2011 Men’s Tournament Challenge is on. The prize is in cash and to win the jackpot its necessary to chose a winner for each game from March 17 until April 4.
