Career Builder publishes new survey
The latest survey published by Career Builder, a company which provides easy job search and allows users to post their resume online, shows that more workers are going to invest their tax refunds on savings instead of recycling it to pay even more bills. It seems as if economy is getting back on its feet and stability is on its way home.
Numbers Of The New Reality
The same survey was applied last year and the difference shows that 46% of workers are going to use the refunds to pay bills, while in 2010 the number was of 56%. As less people have to use the money to pay more bills, that cash is going to be redirected to the savings of one third of the workers.
To get to these numbers, the survey produced by Career Builder was made by questioning over 3,900 workers. Another thing that changes with where they are going to spend the tax refund is the way they feel on a monthly basis. As now most of them do not have to live by the paycheck, economical security feels stronger as days go by.
New Perspectives
The vice president of human resources for Career Builder, Rosemary Haefner, said “Even though fewer workers are living paycheck to paycheck and are saving more, workers’ wallets are still feeling the strain of the past few years. As the economy gradually rebounds and strengthens, workers are gaining confidence. We’re seeing this already as more are investing in their futures and preparing for challenges down the road.”
Now that money is on a clear sight of the horizon, some of the plans that have already been made are investing on: home improvements, vacations, pay back for debts, investing, buying a car, weddings, charity, medical necessities, mortgage, new computers and education. At the same time people take in consideration basic priorities, entertainment cannot be left aside for a better quality life.
