Better Homes and Gardens has food revolution’s episode delayed

It was still 2010 when the ABC network decided to order a second season of the British food chef Jamie Oliver’s program, Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution. The continuation of the first season would take place in Los Angeles, California, and had the purpose of teaching people how to eat healthier and that it is not that difficult to accomplish such mission.

Jamie Oliver’s Television Exploration

But, on the contrary of what was planned, ABC decided to suspend the Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution. The show will be cut off during May, as the last episode had a 1.5 rating on Tuesday night. Jamie Oliver is supposed to be back on track on June 3, when ABC will restart the transmission of the episodes that will not be aired during this month.

The second season of Jamie Oliver’s show is based on his already existing program in the UK, Jamie’s Ministry of Food and Jamie’s School Dinners. Basically, the purposes of these programs were to change what school children are given to eat at lunchtimes. At least at the UK the British chef managed to achieve his aim.

Frustrating Endings

When a TV series is put back the producers of the show are not the only ones who end up harmed by the network’s decision. Televised productions are well known for being one of the most wanted tools to increase companies’ advertising while on air. With the Jamie Oliver episode, it was the Better Homes and Gardens that got frustrated by the decision.

The May 10 Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution episode was produced in partnership with Meredith’s magazine and BHG. The deputy garden editor, Eric Liskey, would feature the episode while planting a garden at one of the Los Angeles high schools. Now, with the suspension, BHG ended up in prejudice because Jamie Oliver also appeared in the magazine, but the other way round is going to take longer than expected to happen. A spokeswoman says that the decision does not interfere in their relationship with the show itself, but they still expect the program to be aired.
